Photographer, illustrator, and graphic designer, Emil Davocol received his first regional award for Asia's best photograph in 1976. Exploring new areas of visual expression, he directed his effort to advertising photography where he reaped several awards of excellence from the major advertising agencies in the Philippines. In the international scene, his visuals for an airline print ad was a CLIO finalist.

His photographs have been part of six group exhibits, which includes his latest collaboration in New York with three other America-based Filipino photographers. His images have also graced eleven hard bound books to date, including a book on the Filipino Style; "Candid Sketches", a compilation of his early illustrations; and an assortment of travel-oriented photo posters and books.

Emil is a past president and four-time Master Photographer awardee of The Camera Club of the Philippines; Asia's oldest and the country's most prominent camera club.

After nearly a decade and a half working in several companies involved in publication, design, and photography, Emil V. Davocol decided to finally put his formidable experience and talent at the disposal of clients looking for a unique visual perspective for their products. Emil V. Davocol's LIGHT IMAGES Photography and Design was established in February 1988.
